As part of the continued expansion of the Topps Tiles Group, we have acquired a high-end commercial specifications organisation, Strata Tiles. This is an excellent opportunity to join this friendly, vibrant and expanding company. Strata Tiles are looking for a sales person to join our team selling tile, stone, polished concrete and mosaic to Architects and Interior design practices in London and the South East of England.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established and growing company with a good reputation within the design community, selling porcelain, stone, mosaics, concrete and composite stone to the construction industry, working with architects, specifiers and contractors in the private and public sector markets.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced specification sales professional capable of developing and maintaining strong commercial relationships through the provision of excellent technical support and expertise. We will consider someone with a passion for selling tiles who has worked with the commercial sector.

Key Tasks & Activities:

Engaging and working with key Architects and Interior designers who may be our or your existing customers to identify projects, develop specifications and provide samples and technical information and best advice to assist your clients in choosing and specifying the right materials for their project.

-You will need to be aware of timescales, alternative products and competition.

-Understand project alternatives and value engineer price effective solutions where required.

-Deliver CPD’s (Continuous Professional Development) to Architects as a way of promoting the company, its products and services.

-Have the ability to cross sell Strata Tiles’ complete portfolio and create wider opportunities.

-Converting enquiries into sales at required margins by working closely with estimators and providing required information to maximise conversion rates.

-Track all live projects in real time to ensure they are secured.

-Be a team player, prepared to support other areas of the business as required.

Through all of this process you will have the help and support of the directors and customer service team.


-A proven track record in construction industry sales, preferably with specification


-Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths.

-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

-Able to confidently and efficiently build good relationships with customers.

-Full valid driving licence

-Good working knowledge of IT (Word, Excel, internet, email)

-Self-motivated, inquisitive and eager to learn.

-Enthusiastic and determined.

-Regular travel in and around London will be required.
