Due to the continued sales growth and expansion of the commercial division of the Topps Tiles Plc Group, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced Personal Assistant into this fast paced environment working directly with the MD. As PA to the MD, your role will be to support the MD’s activities within Topps Tiles Plc Group, Parkside and Strata teams to drive profitable sales in the commercial specification tile market. Objectives:

  • Part time role supporting MD to further build the commercial sales business
  • Helping drive the profitability of the business unit into 2020
  • Supporting cost management and simplification
  • Helping drive pace and decision making in the business
  • To build understanding of the commercial Tile business and Topps Tile PLC Group
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Group functions

 

The Role:

  • Diary management for MD
  • Attending and minute taking in Parkside Ceramics Ltd and Strata Tiles Ltd Board meetings, producing board packs and Powerpoint presentations
  • Planning and attending meetings with management in other sales companies
  • Liaising with the senior team within the Group as required
  • Responsible for managing external contacts and communicating with them regularly on behalf of the MD
  • Expenses management and reporting controls including producing construction industry reporting (CPA, ONS, Glenigans data)
  • Weekly reporting and monthly reporting including insights coordination, using Excel
  • Staff engagement agenda and organising team social events
  • Supporting with office management for the Enderby support office
  • Liaison with CEO / CFO PA

 

The Person:

  • Experienced Personal Assistant essential, ideally with experience at a senior level
  • Confident multi tasker
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Energetic with a ‘can do’, positive attitude
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages to a good standard (Word, Excel and Powerpoint particularly)
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Able to deal with setbacks
  • Drives trust and engagement

 

This role may involve occasional travel to Guildford, but will predominately be based at our Head Office in Grove Park, Enderby. There is flexibility regarding which days you work, for example 3 days, 8.30-5.00 or shorter days spread across 4 or 5 days. This can be discussed at application stage.

 

Salary: £15,000-17,000 per annum based on a 22.5 hour working week
